We are proud to announce the Clairault Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2017 was presented with a Gold Medal at the world largest wine competition, the Decanter World Wine Awards 2021.
With 18,094 wines tasted from 56 countries over 15 consecutive days in June, our cabernet merlot was one of 635 gold medals awarded within the show.
The wine was rated 95/100 and feedback from the judges said, "definitively Cabernet, rewarding with delicious menthol, damp wood, cassis, mint and high-toned florals on a bed of finely textured tannins. Very Bordelaise, generous and open.”
Every wine we entered was awarded a medal, with 3 x silvers and 1 x bronze.
2017 Clairault Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon – Silver (92/100) Judges Comments: “Brooding and showing plenty of soul, with its savoury plums, black spice and anise, framed by super-fine tannins. Fine-boned and seamless length”
