The Clairault Estate Chardonnay is a hand-harvested and small-batch wine that will give you a taste of our highest quality fruit. It is crafted into an age-worthy wine driven by purity of fruit, poise and perfect balance.
Pear flesh, zest and porcelain-like tannin drive forward a message of serenity and true fruit expression. A lattice of fine French oak, granite and grapefruit pith serve as a platform for an unyielding finish of white flowers, lemon curd and hints of gun-smoke.
Made in the traditional method with 30 months on lees, this wine exhibits scents of white pear, brioche and freshly zested limes, underscored by tones of green apple skin and jasmine flower. A pure, vibrant palate entry of tight natural acidity and fine engaging tannin are brought into balance and lent a pristine density by a fine, custard-lined mousse and creamy underlay. White flowers, pear flesh and mother of pearl persist throughout the length and finish.
Made from fruit off our coolest vineyard, this wine is an elegant style of Shiraz. In colour it is deep purple with rich red streaks. White pepper, liquorice and plum jam on the nose with hints of cinnamon cracked allspice. The entry on the palate is bright with a slatey texture and blackberry core. The tannins are coating and dark with spiced red fruits and cloves for a lingering finish.
This wine is wonderfully expressive and true to it's varietal. The nose is dominated by lifted tones of plums, red currants and glazed strawberries, with hints of meat spice and cedar. The palate is rich and coating with hints of black fruits and liquorice. The tannins are supple on the entry yet firm on the finish, with flavours of graphite, cassis and mulberries left to linger.
A classic Margaret River blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. This wine has vibrant aromas of red cherries, black berries, chocolate and ground coffee. Fine cherry skin tannins palate on the entry, dappled with red fruits and cacao nib. A dense and coating palate follows, with black berries and potpourri on the finish.
A experimental blend of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Gooseberry, nectarines and lemon curd, hints of brioche and toasted almonds. Pristine entry of green apple, stone fruit and subtle flavours of cut grass and honey suckle. A soft core of peach acidity and fine texture leads to a creamy finish of meringue and quince.
